Against The Grain
by Henry Duthler
Expand your perspective,
Discard the definitions
Abandon what you know
And release your horizons...
Reach for what lies within
Dig deep into the abyss
Profess your disbelief
And embrace the unknown.
Organize your own chaos
Dismiss the need to be noticed
Create the absence of color
And splash into the air around you.
Define your own imagination
Accept all impossibilities
Deviate from your comfort zone
And displace whatever is in your way.
If anyone asks,
"No one notices the leaves,
Until they fade to brilliant colors..."
