The Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation was established in April 2014 by the late Dr. Mary J. Wright.

The Wright family name has been synonymous with community and philanthropy for generations. Through the generous contributions of Don, Clark, Ernest, Bill, and Mary this legacy continues.

The foundation is run by a voluntary board of directors. Through their work they oversee the approval of projects and grants with the purpose of supporting the arts is a variety of forms in the Strathroy area. It was the vision of the late Don and Mary Wright to ensure a thriving art scene and to provide opportunity for artists to not only develop and exhibit their talents. It is with this in mind that the foundations activities are directed.

On this website you will be able to learn about the Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation, its projects and activities, our bursary program for charitable arts groups, and the history of the Wright Family. We encourage you to visit often to stay up to date with the foundations activities.

COVID Creative Art Contest

As we move through the pandemic with social distancing in mind, the Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation wants to keep the community connected. We are together to carry each other through with laughs, smiles, tears, beautiful and funny moments, toe tapping fun, hard truths, and things to think about.

Let us know how you are coping by entering our “COVID Creative Art Contest.” An exhibit will be developed in the Strathroy Downtown core and virtually on Facebook to share participants’ artwork, photographs, videos, poems, songs, dances, skate performances, journal entries, or other creative outlets on our social media.

Contest Opens on December 15, 2020
