Donald Waugh's love for music started at just 7 years old. With a successful history in the music industry, he has refocused his attention on music production and composition under the company Airplai Productions since settling in Canada with his family. Donald continues to share his talents with a number of albums released, performances and an ever growing passion for music.

Talk about your style. What defines your art? What do you pull inspiration from?
I am greatly influenced from a few musicians: Marcus Miller, Sting, Jill Scott, Chick Corea and Bob Marley. My style is a mesh mash of many different styles. If I had to give it a label, it would be "RnB Reggae".
I hope people feel encouraged and have an overall positive experience.
What’s the most challenging part of being an artist - and what’s the most rewarding?
The most challenging part of being an artist is making money consistently and take seriously as a professional. The most rewarding is how I feel when making art; it's like a healing force.
How do you hope people feel or what do you hope they take away when they experience your art?
I hope people feel encouraged and have an overall positive experience. I keep my music family friendly so everyone including my own kids can enjoy it.
What role do you think art plays in a community like ours?
Art is a great means of bringing people together.
What’s next for you—are there any upcoming projects, shows, events, or goals you’re excited to share?

I continue to do live shows in Strathroy and London as well as I continue to compose music film, as well as song writing and music production with other artists. I am currently working on Jazz artist Frank Moreau first album.
It has been a great pleasure performing at the The Wright Place.
